To come so close and fall short is heartbreaking. To work as hard as you can week after week hurts even more when the results on Sunday don't go in your favor. The endless hours of film, the studying of the gameplan, and the intense practices of making sure everything is right for Sunday's is what makes being a football player unique.
This past Sunday against the Miami Dolphins is no exception. The hard work put in this past week to make sure we were at our best is ever present. But in the end we find ourselves falling short again. In defeat you grade your performance under a microscope lens. Looking for any little thing that could have made your performance stronger individually and collectively. Always looking for what you could have done rather than what you did. We had a chance to win at the end but just fell 2 points short on a last minute field goal.
Sometimes it feels like playing hard is not enough. It feels sometimes as if you have to be perfect on every single play. You can't always be perfect in the NFL but you can strive for perfection. Which brings forth another week of trying to be better. This week we prepare for the Denver Broncos which is a team that beat us pretty soundly on the Opening Weekend of this season. Now its time for us to return the favor.
